Social Media Overload

+

Social media is really a double-edged sword, isn’t it? I’ve just spent the past hour reading nothing but political stories, tweets on Facebook and Twitter. It’s been both eye-opening and exhausting. All the negativity generates more negativity.

I even took the opportunity to reply to an AP tweet about Trump banning the EPA employees from tweeting updates on social media or to reporters, and preventing them from awarding new contracts or grants. I sent my reply to the AP and to Trump, “Why did you do this, Mr. President?” I don’t expect a response. But why did I even question myself for sending this reply?

It’s maddening. Trump talks about the American “carnage.” Isn’t he making carnage by the actions he’s taking? Silencing the EPA and other federal agencies apparently because he doesn’t agree with them? WTF?

One might not be happy with science, but you’re going to silence the messengers of objective facts? I just don’t get it.
